Paris is beautiful and sophisticated and lives up to its reputation. It is divided into 20 arrondisse-ments spiraling out from the center of the city. The numbers reveal the neighborhood’s location, and its age with the 1st arrondisse-ment at the heart of the city being the oldest.
There is not just one interesting area to visit, but many. Each arrondissement has its own character, flavor and style.
The French capital is rich in museums, art galleries and monuments. The Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower are not exactly off the beaten track but there are many places to discover in Paris that aren’t commonly frequented by tourists.
Surrounding Paris, the Ile de France takes in 4,600 square miles of busy suburb and commuter towns punctuated by castles, the most celebrated being Versailles, Fontainebleau, and Chantilly. CONTACT
